Environments
There are two types of environments for the EquiDeFi API: demo and production
Demo Environment URI prefix: https://demo.equidefi.io/api/v1
Production Environment URI prefix: https://equidefi.io/api/v1
Demo
The Demo environment is a safe, sandboxed space designed to help you test integrations and become familiar with the EquiDeFi platform before going live. It simulates real-world investor workflows using mock investment offerings created and maintained by our team.
- Demo offerings typically mirror production offerings one-to-one, though minor configuration differences may exist.
- You can safely test API calls, webhook subscriptions, and investor workflows without worrying about compliance or regulatory issues.
- If you need access to specific demo offerings, or if you encounter discrepancies or issues in the demo environment, please contact our Customer Support team for assistance.
👉 We strongly recommend all development and integration work start in the Demo environment.
Production Environment
The Production environment is the live system where you’ll interact with actual investors and real investment data. All actions taken here are immediately subject to compliance, legal, and financial implications.
⚠️ WARNING: Interacting with the Production environment without fully understanding its impact can lead to serious compliance violations. This environment is not intended for experimentation or testing.
Only move to production once:
- Your integration is fully tested in the Demo environment
- You understand the impact of each API call
- You have confirmation from your team and stakeholders that your integration is production-ready
